A seasoned search professional, Ravleen Beeston is an inspirational female leader who champions diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
In her current role as Head of Sales for Bing Ads UK she leads an organization of regional Sales Directors, Account Directors and Managers, and is responsible for redefining search to marketers, helping them to understand the power of search insights.
Since taking on this new role in July 2015, Ravleen has been the pinnacle point of driving fast-paced change in the UK search advertising division. Building this organization from scratch, she has established a regional structure and put in place clear accountability and processes to ensure superior client servicing is the number one priority.
The Bing Network is a fast growing search business which provides a competitive alternative for advertisers and a unique way to reach consumers through intelligent search opportunities. Being the connective tissue across a range of consumer devices and services, Bing is fundamental to the core Microsoft strategy for post sales monetisation.
Since forming the team in 2015, Ravleen has transformed the Bing business, shifting industry perception from under-dog to challenging viable contender. As part of this she’s overseen the business forge key strategic partnerships to further extend Bing’s high quality audience, most recently bringing on Gumtree.
Ravleen has spearheaded rapid growth of the Bing UK business, managing a team of 35 who are on track to deliver against an impressive 25% growth target for the business in its first year of operation. She’s successfully built a new strategic sales team as well as introducing new structures to transition the search business across from Yahoo in just four months. Under Ravleen’s management, Bing Ads in the UK has rapidly established its place in the market for delivering industry leading insight that power multi-platform search campaigns.
Prior to her current role, Ravleen headed up the UK Client Services team for the Microsoft Advertising display business. In this role, she ensured seamless end to end experience for advertisers across Microsoft’s online portfolio. She initially joined Microsoft in 2006 as a Search Media Strategist, and later progressed through the business as the Group Search Manager. Prior to joining Microsoft Ravleen worked for Mindshare as an Account Manager, specialising in SEM.
Ravleen is a working mother who has a small child and loving husband, also in the search industry. In her spare time, she is a board member of Rifco Arts, an award winning British Asian Theatre company that reflects and celebrates the contemporary British Asian theatre experience.
