Gemma is a seasoned sales and marketing professional with over 13 years’ experience in the digital arena. In her current role as Global Head of Paid Search for Getty Images, a world leader in the creation and distribution of imagery and other multimedia products, Gemma is responsible for developing and driving global paid search strategy for the Getty Images and iStockphoto brands; managing a large team of specialists across the globe.
Gemma’s career in digital marketing began client side at Early Learning Centre before she moved to Overture, the search engine tech business that at the time had distribution deals with almost all of the major search engines. Yahoo’s acquisition of Overture saw Gemma move into the Yahoo camp where she spent almost 12 years building and developing successful paid search teams, developing and launching new products and playing an intrinsic role in driving and delivering performance focused strategy for clients and agencies alike. Her extensive experience both engine and client side means Gemma is well placed to assess performance within the industry.
When she’s not absorbed in the world of search she can mostly be found running around after her 2 very lively young sons.
